Annotation	The aim of this article is to present the results of the textual norm study. Textual norms of an orthological type regulate the usage of language means in order to provide coherence, integrity and structure of speech product. Textual norms are realized in different functional styles – journalistic, official, scientific, etc. Russian tradition of didactics uses the concept of textual norms to develop skills of accurate coherent speech. We suggest that the textual norms perform the following functions: 1) establish the obligatory correspondence between the title of the text and its contents, expressing the inner structure of the utterance; 2) regulate the connection of textual elements on the basis of grammatical and lexical-semantic principles; 3) provide accurate contextual and pragmatic division of texts and regulate combinatorics of subtexts. Special attention is paid to some related phenomena, e. g. the recommendations for using associative connection in media discours and fiction. Such norms are extra linguistic and determine the existence of aesthetic speech.
