Annotation In the article the authors set the problem of differentiating such concepts as social compulsion and social violence. The authors use both socio-philosophical apparatus and mathematical logic rules to solve the set task. The article examines ways of social compulsion in Russian society which are used in contemporary social customs. Besides contrary instances connected both with social compulsion and social violence are discussed. The ultimate goal of the article is to elicit differences between social compulsion and social violence.
