Annotation	The article reviews different interpretations of the notion “adaptation” in domestic psychological science. It has been pointed out that scientists have various understanding of adaptation essence and its structure (in psychological aspects). The author underlines the importance to give a detailed definition of ‘psychological adaptation’ in reference to studying a person living on ecologically unfavorable territory and the aftereffect of such living on his mind.
