Annotation In the article the questions of the Transbaikalian railway second tracks construction by forces of Baikal-Amur labor camp in 1930s are considered. The solution of the most complicated problem in rigidly limited terms in conditions of the sharpest deficiency of labour forces, building materials and construction documents became possible thanks to the experienced administrative stuff, engineers and technicians. Among them K. N. Kashkin, the former professor, the section engineer with a big industrial experience, and then the prisoner who has become a civilian employee of Baikal-Amur highway worked. It is his 145th anniversary in 2011.
