Annotation	The dominant subject matter of the journal is connected with key meanings, values and artifacts of culture. The problem of meaning is found in existential issues, questions of place and role of the person in the modern world, culture and society, transformation of identity and evolution of sociocultural means of person’s consciousness, crisis of culture and its value foundations. According to an actual cultural and semantic approach, any phenomenon of culture and society is considered as a cultural text possessing an appropriate value and coding cultural meanings. The content of the journal presents some aspects of understanding sociocultural problems within world, national and regional history. The issue also includes papers on oriental studies covering the issues of material and intellectual culture of Oriental countries. Materials will be interesting to the wide scientific community, university lecturers, postgraduate students, students, workers in culture and education.
