Annotation The volunteer movement is a modern tool and criterion of social activity and social dynamics of social development, it is a criterion of the level and quality of social reproduction, its value-semantic and socio-behavioral basis. The paper considers the philosophical and socio-practical conditions for the emergence and development of volunteerism in modern Russia. The purpose of the article is to analyze the socio-practical and philosophical shifts taking place in the modern Russian society that allow the emergence and active expansion of spheres and forms of realization for the volunteer movement and, as a result, changes in sociocultural meanings of the social evolution of society and individuals. The results of the study outline the main types and motives of volunteer activity, which determine the qualitative forms of development of the volunteer movement, as well as the resources and conditions for the development of the social capital of the movement. Moreover, the study allows us to judge about the changes and possible perspectives and forms of social development occurring in the public consciousness, which are the process and at the same time the goal of the social and spiritual development of the individual and society as a whole. The philosophy of the volunteer movement is an indicator of personal transformations and attitudes of social development, goals and meanings of social dynamics.
