Annotation “Sublation” is one of the basic concepts both in Hegel’s dialectics and in Marxist philosophy. Using this dialectical concept, it is possible within the accepted cliché of thought to explain a qualitative change in the system with simultaneous preservation of its former structure and/or form. Thanks to “sublation” in a newly formed system it is possible not only to preserve all the best from the “old” system but also to ensure progress. For creating such an effective methodology Hegel uses homonyms which “make” concepts contradictory. And further it is possible to say that any change has happened by sublation. Using dialectics as methodology, Hegel creates the doctrine which cannot be confuted. This doctrine is capable to explain everything and to predict everything. In this regard the law of negation of the negation is “safe.” The spirit in its movement cannot go beyond itself since it is single and total, and, therefore, in the movement it can change only its own available forms and its contents which are as identical with each other in the spirit as preservation and cancellation are united and identical in “sublation.” Thus, negation of the negation is performed by sublation.
Key words sublation, Hegel, law of negation of the negation, dialectics
