| Annotation | The article deals with the XVII century customs legislation analysis. Transported goods duty taxation peculiarities are determined on the basis of legal texts as well as customs heads and tax collector activitiesare described. The author analyzes both customs officials main rights and responsibilities and their interaction with the authorities. The trade and customs relations regulation in Siberia, particularly in Nerchinsk is the core of the article. The author pays attention to the fact that the history of the customs affairs in Transbaikalia is closely connected with Nerchinsk history that had become the Siberian trade and customs centre since the second half of the XVII century. The author points out some trade and customs regulation peculiarities caused by close attention of the state authorities to the eastern parts of the country. The autho considers them the two tasks in strategy of the state. On the one hand, it was necessary to explore distant territories; on the other hand, it was important to promote trade developing for the Treasury replenishment. In conclusion, the author highlights the main reason for Nerchinsk trade decline and defines the next developing period for the customs affairs in Transbaikalia. |
