A figurative description of a personality makes it possible to reveal its characteristic features and to create a mental associative picture of a politician in the mass consciousness. A conceptual analysis of D. Trump’s contexts is used аs an additional method. The politician considers it necessary to use self-presentation strategies that allow him to construct a positive vision and a sense of unity with the audience. It was for this purpose that The Trump Organization was created, in which ideologues, media representatives, speechwriters and image-makers work for D. Trump. Trump’s figure as an odious, controversial politician is known for his provocative harsh statements, he became a media person in 1968 thanks to his participation in various TV shows, which is of interest for exploring ways to create a politician’s speech portrait. The linguistic assessment of D. Trump’s tweets was made using the methods of cognitive analysis and discourse analysis, by sampling of 75 quotes for the period of November-December 2018.
