Annotation The results of analysis of paradigmatic changes in psychological research of perception are presented. It is shown that the theoretical and methodological foundations of modern psychology of perception are the limiting factor for the evolution of views in the field of psychology of perceptual processes. The basic characteristics of the epistemological, ontological and transcendental approaches to the study of perception are emphasized. The theoretical and experimental scheme practiced in the epistemological approach has been illustrated, resulting in immediate perception which is replaced by a mediate object. The ontological approach to perception opens up new possibilities in the understanding of psychic reality, inaccessible in the epistemological paradigms: the introduction of the research construct “object-situation” allows us to see the new sides of perceptual activity. The transcendental research methodology is the result of mental awareness of the limited analysis of the phenomenon of mental reflection; it involves the development of effective forms of free perceptive and intellectual processes of learning strategies of perception.
Key words psychology of perception, perceptual process, epistemological paradigm, ontological paradigm, transcendental paradigm, product approach, process of generation of psychic reality
