Annotation The article deals with the important for our country and the republic of Buryatia period of postwar economy recovery (1945–1953). Current issues of agriculture development were studied on the example of the Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic collective farms. The author presents certain data of documentary sources from the National Archive of the Republic, on the basis of which the processes of acreage reconstruction and development, their structure, productivity and total charges of all kinds of crops, including fodder, have been identified. Most of these materials are introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. The comparative analysis of collective farming reconstruction and development in the Buryat-Mongol Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, other regions of the country (Siberia, Eastern Siberia), as well as RSFSR as a whole, on the basis of which conclusions about the peculiarities and difficulties of the recovery period in the country were drawn, attaches especial value and scientific novelty to this scientific work.
