Annotation The first monograph research on Nerchinsk Church of Dormition of the Blessed Virgin which functioned since 1712 to 1930 is observed in the review. The research is of interdisciplinary character. The church is considered as a sample of architecture and culture in it. The culturological aspect and especially the social picture of its history, stands out in a monograph very noticeably. The first chapter is analytical. It reveals the identity of the temple, also the specificity of architecture has been shown, the exterior, interior, iconostasis have been described, including ceremonial clerics’ vestments. The key to determining the temple’s identity was the elucidation of the role of Vasily Stepanovich Goryaev, a “stone apprentice”. The first chapter ends with the paragraph in which hegumenos Раnkraty is firstly described аs a historical figure establishing Nerchinsk monastery. The second chapter narrates in the form of essays on the life and work of the abbots of the temple in areas that, in their totality, represent the research matrix. It allowed the author to trace gradually the life and activities of the priests of the temple. E. S. Bushueva pointed out and described some generations of priests of the church, such as the Titovs, the Stukovs, and the Znamenskys. профинансиThe author depicted the life and activity of the priors during 155 years in the form of a reconstructed history of these dynasties. Eventually E. S. Bushueva represents a total picture of the historical process on the micro level, which is discovered in the context of extensional approach.
