| Annotation | In the article activity of procuracy bodies of the Krasnoyarsk region during the Great Patriotic War is researched on the basis of previously unknown documents from the State Archive of the Krasnoyarsk region and State Archive of the Russian Federation. Problems of restructuring of procuracy bodies’ work according to demands of the war period are under consideration. The problems were as follows: toughening of working statutes in a criminal law, enactment of new laws and regulations aimed first of all to contribute to strengthening of discipline in the rear. Issues connected to the supervision of operation of enterprises, which supplied a combat army, undergo an analysis. Special attention is paid to the struggle of procuracy bodies against workers’ defection from enterprises in violation of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR as of 26 June 1940 “On change-over to an eight-hour day, seven-day workweek and the prohibition of workers and employees’ unauthorized leave from enterprises and institutions” and as of 26 December 1941 “On liability of workers and employees of enterprises of the military industry for an unauthorized leave from enterprises”. In respect of this aspect both punitive measures towards defectors and procuracy officers’ struggle against causes raising defection are analyzed. The conclusion that procuracy bodies had a special place in the system of government control of the Soviet Union is made. |
