Annotation	The science has displayed interest in the sacral relatively recently. Beginning from 1980s the first definitions of the concept “sacral” appeared. They are all highly polemic. The word “sacral” on the intension level is frequently substituted for the words sacramental, metaphysical or religious. The article defines notional borders of the sacral, its difference from sacramental and contraposition to profane with regard to fiction as one of the art forms.
