Annotation The article reviews the history of study of the 12th – 15th centuries’ monuments, which are located in the forest-steppe zone of Eastern Transbaikalia and belonged to the Undugunskaya archaeological culture. The work analyzes the results of many years’ researches, which were started from the opening of the first monument of this culture near Lake Undugun in 1974 and are continuing up to the present time. The article takes up conclusions made by scientists on the major issues relating to Undugunskaya archaeological culture.
