Annotation The article studies the character’s speech behaviour in the poetic text, namely the speech of a lyrical character. The paper reveals some basic types of speech of the lyrical character in Mikhail Lermontov’s poetry and their grammatical indicators: imperative mood, reference to the internal and external text addressees, etc. and defines some speech features of Lermontov’s lyrical character: a tendency to use informal conversational patterns, narration intimacy, etc.
