The article discusses the scientific approaches to the concept of “daily life” and its interrelated terms. The components are traced, which determine the possibilities of studying one of the basic elements of the culture of everyday life “food”, “food culture” and the significance of their interaction with “culture” in cultural studies of everyday life. We accented key combinations that reveal the essence of the practice of nutrition. The analysis of works devoted to the daily food culture and gastronomic culture is carried out, the factors necessary for the cultural studies of this problem are systematized. The prospect of studying the sphere of everyday and ordinary is grounded. In cultural studies, everyday life is a collection of ideas, principles, processes and cultural phenomena related to the daily lives of people. Nutrition is an important element of human life, in connection with which the principles of food culture have been historically established, including knowledge of the fundamentals of proper nutrition, food properties, their effect on the body, ability to choose, cook. In this regard, the term “food culture” refers to the experience of satisfying the need for food accumulated by people, the bearers of culture. In modern science, everyday food culture correlates with the definition of “gastronomic culture”, although so far there is no common understanding of this multi-dimensional cultural phenomenon, which is a specific attribute of each nation. |
