Annotation In the article the process of carrying out antireligious propaganda in East Transbaikalia in 1920s is considered. Here the Soviet power was established after liquidation of the Far Eastern Republic in 1923. From that time carrying out the SPC decrees of 1918 «About the Separation of Church and State» and «About the Separation of Church from School» begins. Local authorities tried different ways to introduce substantive provisions of decrees into life. As a result, special departments of propaganda and propagation have been created. The religious organizations existing in Transbaikalian province were taken under special control. The authorities by all means tried to create the atmosphere of antagonism to religious outlook and to eradicate church from life of Soviet society for ever.
