Annotation	The article discusses the formation of school in Buryatia during the Cultural Revolution period. The main part is devoted to the analysis of problems, concerning this process. The article shows the negotiation of economic, organizational, personnel, linguistic and methodological difficulties. The analysis revealed the growth of the Buryat language use in education and publishing activities. Creation of ethnic school caused an increase of the Buryats’ cultural level and preparation of population for a new lifestyle.
