Annotation Civilization of the 21st century is a world of global challenges and risks, new forms of communication, geopolitical instability, a new social space, new values, and a new human being. One of the responses to these contemporary processes and a framework for addressing them has become the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity, formulated by Chinese leader Xi Jinping and gaining wide resonance worldwide among scholars, political and public figures. Global problems affecting all nations require joint solutions and collective action. The purpose of this article is to analyze and assess the main directions of research into the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity as reflected in the works of Chinese and Russian scholars. The methodological basis of this research includes philosophical-cultural, comparative-historical, and systemic-situational approaches. For scientific analysis, theoretical methods of cognition were used: classification and systematization of philosophical and cultural studies sources, abstraction and formalization of key concepts, deduction and induction in identifying patterns of interstate interaction, and analogy in comparing Chinese and Russian philosophical ideas, perspectives, and traditions. The study was conducted from several perspectives. First, we carried out an analysis of the theoretical foundations of the concept as presented in academic works from both countries. Differences in the positions of Russian and Chinese scholars were identified. In particular, Chinese researchers emphasize socialist and cultural ideas, while Russian scholars focus on the significance of the concept in a multipolar world, where Russia and China act as strategic partners. Second, considerable attention is paid to the historical development of the concept, revealing its connections with Confucian ethics, European theories of communicative reason, global ethics, and principles of international solidarity. Third, Russian scholars stress that the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity aligns with Russian values of multinational unity. The analysis of scholarly viewpoints on the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity has made it possible to identify both differences and coincident points in its theoretical interpretation.
