Annotation The methodological basis of the article is the idea expressed by I. Kant on the need to distinguish between the constitutive and regulative principles of cognition. The constitutional principles are oriented toward ontological assumptions. They reflect specific types of objectivity. The values of empiricality and the content of scientific knowledge are fixed. Regulatory principles also set possible methodological orientations for future development, innovatively directing knowledge to find new deep connections and regularities of the fundamental foundations of being. An analysis of this distinction lies at the basis of research and understanding of such a fundamental civilizational process as the process of ecologizing science and practice. The rapid expansion of the subject of modern environmental science has led to the emergence of a whole fan of disciplines, understood as ecological, from different spheres of life, built on the basis of ontological constructive assumptions. It is shown in the paper that this series can be realized and regulated only by applying to it methodological regulative cognitive attitudes. Analysis of the most striking metascience that emerged in the 20th century shows that today the same process of forming a general theory, this time organizational, is also taking place in the field of ecologization. It is becoming a global ecology, fixing the generality of the interaction of objects and their habitats, regardless of the constituent substrates. This contributes to the awareness and fixation of common cognitive processes and organizational characteristics of various directions in the modern Great Ecology, leading to an understanding of the innovative generative mechanisms of such a new organizational structure of the world.
