Annotation | The article is written in the relevant for modern linguistics direction – text linguistics. The purpose of the article is cohesion consideration as the main category of the text connexity. The choice of cohesion means, providing linearity of information stream, in many respects is defined by a type of the grammatical system of a concrete language. The Russian language as a representative of language inflectional system is characterized by morphological word change; the Chinese language of the isolating type is a language with practical lack of morphology. Such essential difference in the morphological system of languages causes difficulties when translating. The question of reorganization of text cohesion (pronominal reviewer and omission) in the Russian-Chinese translation is presented in the article. The analysis to the ways of pronominal reviewer translation is given: compliance, flexible use, transformation and omission of pronominal reviewers when they are translated into Chinese. The characteristic of compliance and transformation of omissions at in Russian-Chinese translation is submitted. Combining the function of instruction with function of replacement, the pronouns play an important role in the organization of speech units. The author also points out the cases of text cohesion discrepancy in the Russian and Chinese languages (omission phenomena and replacement of pronouns and conjunctions, restoration of subject or object in the Chinese text at their absence in the Russian text, etc.). The author also notes such additional phenomena as achievement of a certain stylistic effect, and in certain cases an insignificant comic effect. The author draws a conclusion that during translation effective reorganization of text cohesion is carried out, in case of the correlated functioning of two languages, that at the same time is a way of reorganization of semantic structure of the text. |
