Annotation The article is devoted to the analysis of the content of A. S. Pushkin’s art philosophy of history. In this article, we have shown some characteristic properties of Pushkin’s poetry and creativity as a whole. In particular, we are talking about features due to which Pushkin’s poetry has become a way to moral and spiritual transformation of a person. We show that the specificity of this phenomenon includes a number of components: 1) the synthesis of different perspectives and voices of individuals which embrace a moral unity and includes the tragedy of the “great” and “small” people as equal forces of History in which the death of anyone of them does not detract from its ethical dignity; 2) antiutopian aspect which is expressed in the well-established catastrophe authorities and artificial civilization; 3) recognition of the universal law of Russian history which is always determined by the dilemma between the false choice (treachery, betrayal, selfishness), and the true choice based on the special moral force, consisting in repentance and sacrifice. As a further course of Russian history and development of Russian thought showed, it is these three components that are the semantic “core” in understanding of history allowing us to overcome the crisis of Russian national identity.
