Annotation Under the conditions of the rapid development of information technologies and continuous pressure of ever accelerating technological progress, due to the fear of being insolvent in any sphere of activity humankind does not see the movement in the abyss. The monograph of V. A. Kutyrev is devoted to the reflections on this very problem. It presents original and often paradoxical views on life in this century. The “everywhere philosophy” presented in the book is distinguished by the issues ranging from existence to living, keen observations of facts and eschatological ideas about the ultimate prospects of humanity. The rebirth of the spirit in the information technology intelligence, the manipulation of the human body and brain, the substitution of objective reality by the expansion of virtualism are the main dangers of uncontrolled technological progress. The review analyzes the so-called philosophy of resistance, founded by the author of the monograph. Scientific interest of this philosophical direction extends to all spheres of human life. Confronting the spread of transhumanism ideas, Kutyrev reveals to the reader a network of Hi-tech traps, in which a person is unconsciously or deliberately immersed, becoming a part of technolife. The monograph makes the reader think, reread, highlight some appealing or disputable paragraphs, but it is still the very function of a “traditional” book.
Key words transhumanism, postvitalism, technosophy, philosophy of resistance
