Annotation | The article deals with the phenomenon of fakes in contemporary media practice. The author proposes to consider fake as a manifestation of political discourse, which has specific signs format. The analyzed trend in the information sector, according to the author, should be considered as a clear manifestation of the show of civilization. Turning to the historical experience of the functioning of the global political hoaxes in the activities of foreign media, the author comes to the conclusion about the presence of some manipulative methods that can be considered protoforms in their practice. Today, they have been transformed into such type of interpretation of information as a fake. Largely, the process of rooting in the functioning of traditional media is promoted by both excessive politicization of the agenda and rapid development of the Internet. The latter, as a rule, is a breeding ground for the introduction of fakes in today’s media environment. Intensification of the process of using fakes is largely provoked by the contents of information confrontation, which has been observed in the global information society in connection with the events in Ukraine during the last year and a half. Analyzing the identified trends in modern media environment, the author gives concrete examples from the experience of the current media. |
