The notion of technical devices in ancient Greek myths is considered, where for the first time certain properties of technics were noted. In the ancient world, technics appears as the main attribute of Greek culture, denoting any human work, while at the same time the ancient idea of technics was associated with art as the ability to do something. A characteristic feature of ancient technological products was the judgment about the origin of the craft from imitation of nature. Plato explained the essence of technics from the creative act, Aristotle considers technics only as a means of participating in an active or productive activity. Interpretation of judgments about technics in ancient Greek myths, classics of ancient philosophy allowed us to form a holistic view of the perception of technics in ancient society.
