Annotation In the context of common activities with the Russians in the developing of the Russian Far Eastern region during almost 75 years (since immigration in the 1860s until deportation in 1937) the local variant of the Korean art was formed. This phenomenon being unstudied triggers the author’s attempt to gain an insight into the stages of the Korean’s art evolution in the context of forming a regional cultural space from the traditional folk to novation individual forms of creative activity and birth of a synthetic model of the Korean musical and drama theatre. Based on a complex approach (cultural. historical and art) the author defines the content and dynamic of the Korean’s creative activity in the periods of the imperial Russia (1860 – February of 1917) and political instability (1918–1922), which stipulated genesis of the phenomenon under consideration. The author specifically notes a socio-cultural shift during the sovietizing period of the region, which determined a new framework for development of the Korean culture and promoted the birth of the Korean musical and drama theatre. The Korean “TRAM “– theatre of young workers, who turned into successful playwrights, stage directors, actors and musicians – became an apex and a closing stage (due to the unexpected deportation) for the local variant of the Russian Koreans’ art in the Far East. Being a “stand up guy”, the Korean theatre became a space for national and cultural solidarity of “the Russian Koreans”. And simultaneously, being in accordance with the Soviet power strategy an instrument of ideological influence “in the spirit of present times”, it became the most important “architect” of the main features of the Soviet identity in the Korean community.
