Annotation The article deals with the problem of the relationship between young teachers’ personal development and their professional formation. Young teachers’ personality at high school is developed and revealed in the process of pedagogical activity and pedagogical intercourse. Currently, the main purpose of pedagogical activity of a university teacher is to develop students’ personalities. The paper reviews the contents and structure of young high school teachers’ activity that focuses on the formation of personal and professional position of students as a holistic characteristic of future specialists’ personality. The paper substantiates the idea that the basis for organizing the activity to build personal and professional position of students as future professionals is a well-developed personal and professional position of young high school teachers. There are two groups of requirements for young high school teachers (requirements to the personality of a young high school teacher focused on the development of the individual student as a future professional, and the requirements for a young high school teacher focused on the successful completion of the development of the individual student as a future professional).
