Annotation The article examines the phenomenon of man’s spirituality from the perspective of philosophical anthropology. It analyzes the key concepts of spirituality in the context of philosophical comprehension of modern education and reveals that spirituality contributes to man’s identity, and turns him into the subject and the object of relations. The basic principles of modern education are examined as the spiritual aspect of man that is shaped under the influence of moral values. Education is conditioned by culture in which it exists; therefore it can be defined as a major spiritual component of human activity, related to various aspects of man’s life. The difficult phenomenon of spirituality of man should be viewed from the perspective of social experience, in the acquisition of which man forms his personal system of values and perfects his own spirituality.
