Annotation The article offers a variant of the system design of the environmental education curriculum based on the foundations of the didactic and psychological character. The relevance of solving the problem of system design with respect to the content of environmental education is connected with the problem of its integrity in relation to the need for developing a school program of the formation of ecological culture, a healthy and safe lifestyle by each institution of general education. To solve the problem it is necessary to take into consideration didactic and psychological factors: selection of an educational model, choice of a model curriculum, selection of the contradictions of students’ personal choice; the experience of solving such problems should be gained. The author discusses some educational models, curriculum design models, the basic personality conflicts that may occur when students acquire environmental education. The project is aimed at ensuring the integrity of the cognitive, personal and general cultural students’ development.
