| Annotation |
The article considers social transformations in the Republic of Buryatia and the
social problems arisen during the economic reforms of the country. The author pays
great attention to the changes in the population’s social structure, their standards of
living in Buryatia. Social, economic and political transformations of the country in
the nineties caused a basic change in the society structure, generated a lot of social
problems and lead to the population marginalization. There was a degradation of the
social and economic parameters of the republic citizens’ lives. Market reforms caused
deterioration of Buryatia’s social and economic development, it had been transferred
to the group of the most recessionary regions of our country. The transformation
endured by the republic in the nineties predetermined modern social and economic
tendencies in the region development. |
