Annotation The article presents a brief analysis of the interaction between the political system and that of mass media observed in Poland. A more detailed analysis of the given phenomenon is presented in terms of political parallelism. Modern mass media suffer a lot of restrictions which influence their every day work and development. One of the most obvious restrictions is the politicization of the information which in its turn has a negative impact on the freedom of the journalistic expression, mass media interaction with the society and state and political institutions. Nowadays the “face” of the journalistic culture has acquired certain features which are making it so close to liberal values in Europe and in Poland. The author makes an attempt to define the peculiarities of the liberal media-doctrine development and those contradictions that appear during this process.
