Annotation The paper concerns the intertextual relations of the novels by Bulgarian women writers, both among themselves and with the Bulgarian literary tradition as a whole, their manifestations on the surface and the deepest levels of the texts in triplet directions: women’s place and role in history and political power, national life images at the age of the national struggle for liberation, and the cathartic function of religious anxiety in existential crisis of personality.
