Annotation The author notices that the situation of farewell meaningful and rich moral aspects has not been reflected with the special ethical concept get. This category is not in philosophical dictionaries and encyclopedias. By the way, this concept is, strictly speaking, absent in the Bible. Apparently, word formation tends to move from concrete features to abstract generalizations. From dark – to darkness, from selfish and greed – to selflessness, from requests not to be offended and to forgive – to forgiveness and farewell. This article focuses on specific moral values that are involved in this situation. The analysis of farewell is highlighted by its structure, which helps to look into the moral aspects of this phenomenon. The subject (who is going to leave), the object (who or what the goodbye), circumstances, the degree of voluntariness and awareness for the participants, the content of the emotions, their expression and possible verbalization, and attitude of others and the consequences of farewell. After examination, conducted on the basis of this structure, the author comes to the conclusion that thanks to the cultivation of farewell, people will be able to more effectively assert such moral values as dignity, humanity, justice, compassion, mutual respect, responsibility, commitment to the principles, tact, spirituality.
