Annotation In the modern world significant changes in the sphere of technology come within the life of a single generation which consequently affects the quality and nature of interpersonal communication being constantly “resettled” into virtual zone. As the result, language systems are being involved into certain transformation, therefore linguistic paradigm requires updating and specification. The objects of the study are relational names, reflecting the important language cognitive cluster “relationship”. Based on the analysis of dictionary definitions, the author describes the features of objectifying the emotive component of relational names with the meaning “Relations”. The basis for the study of this concept is the method of cognitive analysis using linguistic and cultural approaches that allows us identifying and describing the functions of the relational names in modern languages. Based on the analysis of dictionary definitions, the author describes the features of objectifying the components of relational names with the meaning “Relations”. Thus, the author shows that the concept features of the relational names requires more careful consideration and can be identified as a separate category.
