Annotation	The article is devoted to the 70th anniversary of M. V. Konstantinov, Doctor of History, Professor, Professor of the Department of History of Transbaikal State University. It presents his pedagogical and scientific work, his contribution into the research of Transbaikal archaeology and history. We pay special attention to his work as a science editor in the editorial project “Encyclopedia of Transbaikalia”, his multifaceted social involvement, as well as direction of the public organization “Transbaikalia Peoples’ Assembly”.
