Editorial Policy

The ideological and conceptual field of the journal “Humanitarian Vector” is focused on the consideration of modern society’s value vectors – new and traditional, significant not only for an individual and a specific society of different regions, but also for the world culture as a whole

 

The journal focuses its attention on the study of the axiological vector and the humanistic trends in the development of different societies under the challenges and threats of the fourth technological (industrial) revolution, the crisis of cultures and their value foundations, the global community total digitalization and the risks of an individual dehumanization.

Linguistic and historical consciousness reflect the paradigm of society’s thinking, in which the valuable experience of numerous generations is recorded and the basic codes of a particular culture in the continuum “past-present-future” paradigm are fixed. Artifacts, historical realities, texts, and mass media are the means of cultural memory translation.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary researches based on socio-cultural practices of different regions in the following fields: philosophy, history, philology, oriental studies, media communication, and journalism.

Priority goals of the editorial policy:

 

▲ Promotion of interdisciplinary researches in the field of values and humanitarian technologies of social development, based on the materials of specific regions. Moreover the journal is looking forward to beneficial cooperation organization and research experience exchange between scientists and practitioners in Russia and the world community, who show interest in such researches.

The journal “Humanitarian Vector” is addressed to a wide scientific community, teachers and students and executives in the sphere of culture and education – to all those concerned about issues of humanism in its original and fundamental status, the problem of a society’s cultural diversity preservation, and the ones displaying interest in the mental picture of the world, the sign realities of different societies.

The rubric “Standpoint” works in a genre of scientific commentary, which allows to designate an original view of a well-known researcher on ambiguous issues of modern science. The final rubric in the journal is “People. Events. Time” is devoted to the biographies of famous scientists and the results of scientific conferences.
