Annotation The article discusses the methods of modelling the antonymous concepts of «Sky» and «Land» through the actualization of «closeness» and «estrangement» features. Hypertextual properties of O. N. Ermakov’s works allow us to study functional peculiarities of the given concepts in an artistic discourse. The materials for research are early Afghan Stories, the novel Beast Sign and the novelette Returning to Kandahar by O. N. Ermakov.
