| Annotation | The article is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of the philosophy of culture – the “language of culture”. The authors refer to the works by G. V. F. Hegel, M. Heidegger, L. Wittgenstein who analyze language and thinking, language and culture. Works by M. Buber and V. S. Bibler on the dialogue, the dialogue of cultures determined the study of the logic of culture. V. S. Bibler’s thought on dialogue as a dialogue of equal cultures was the starting point in this reflection on the language of culture. The epoch of globalization defined new directions in cultural studies. The first direction is transcendentalism, the second direction is dialogism. Transcendental philosophy reflects on culture as a system of values, and dialogic philosophy explains culture as mutual understanding. This determines the relevance of this study. The study of the language of culture in the context of a dialogue of cultures determines the path from linguistic cultural studies to the philosophy of culture. Linguistic culturology and cultural studies explain the language of culture through a system of symbols and signs. The philosophy of culture refers to the reflection, the dialogue of cultures which, according to V. S. Bibler, is possible as co-being. The methodology of this study is based on the logic of the dialogue of cultures. It includes philosophical and cultural analysis, a philosophical-anthropological approach. This made it possible to determine that the essence of the language of culture can be understood at the border of cultures. The border of cultures, according to V. S. Bibler, is the contact of cultures that are equal to each other. Therefore, the language of culture is a language that enables different cultures to be joint participants and understand each other. Consequently, going beyond the limits of linguoculturology, culturology, the reflection of the language of culture in the context of the philosophy of culture is a reflection on ontology, as V. S. Bibler wrote, the dialogue of cultures. |
