Annotation	The article discusses telecommunications networks as a major part of the global information society. They serve as a transport sphere for the information dissemination and data communication. The author analyzes and comments upon the law “On Telecommunications” passed in Uzbekistan, concludes on the necessity to develop legislative activity in the following areas: clarification of the key notions taking into account the current state of the telecommunications sector, introduction of a new classification of telecommunication network, development of the legal norms that define how to use the domain name of the national Internet segment. The author concludes that improving the standards of the law “On Telecommunications” will determine the legal mechanisms of high-grade and quality to provide citizens with modern telecommunication services, will ensure sustainable development of the national states, the formation of an innovative economy.
