Annotation	The article analyzes V. A. Kutyrev’s point of view on the necessity of maintaining the humanitarian paradigm in philosophy expressed in the article “Where to Shift the Humanities Vector?” in the present volume of the journal Humanitarian Vector [2012/2 (26)]. The author criticizes the main idea of the theory of transhumanism – the assertion that man is not the highest point of evolution and, therefore, he can endlessly perfect himself.
