Annotation The article is devoted to Russian cosmism in the context of determining the philosophical intentions of the 20th–21st centuries, the fundamental problems of modern globalized culture associated with the need for uniting the human community on the basis of new value orientations, principles of cooperation that define the modern paradigms of civilization development, the ways to overcome alienation of man and society, man and nature. Russian cosmism is noted to be an attempt to consider the relationships between man and the cosmos deeply, especially in terms of humanity’s future that is inextricably linked with the future of the universe. This review includes, firstly, the determination of the place and importance of social life in the being of the World which entails ontologization of the entire social and philosophical issues of Russian cosmism, and, secondly, the definition and justification of the future of mankind from the standpoint of the future of the cosmos.
