Annotation Pictures of the Time of Troubles recorded by our contemporary Abraham Palytsyn, by descendants of Alexander Pushkin and Mikhail Zagoskin are taken for analysis to penetrate into the spiritual sense of the Troubles of the beginning of the 17th century. Palitsyn’s picture is a heroic one, Pushkin’s cultural picture is ominously – theatrical, Zagoskin’s picture is corrupt and treacherous. As a single whole, they represent a complete cultural and symbolic picture of the distemper for different periods. The cultural picture of the Russian classics is urgent for modern governors, the elite and people as well. Moreover, cultural landscape of the Troubles is completed by the thoughts, comparison and analysis of the modern “troubles” of the 1990s and 2012s. The conclusion is that all troubles resemble one another.
